We are Sportspeople

At Brackenbury Primary School we believe that PE, experienced in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment, is vital and unique in its contribution to a pupil's physical, emotional and social development. Our progressive PE curriculum aims to promote opportunities for all pupils to be creative, competitive, co-operative and face different challenges as individuals and in groups and teams whilst developing physical skills, knowledge and understanding. This is achieved through a variety of stimulating, challenging and enjoyable PE lessons. An important element of our PE is not only the focus on developing the physical skills and competencies necessary but the  positive attitude needed to promote a life long love of activity and understanding of healthy life styles. We endeavour to do this through striving to increase participation in after- school clubs and links with other curriculum areas to promote the understanding of lifestyle choices and physical activity as part of a balanced healthy lifestyle.
